Introduction

Baking has been a passion for most of us, these days. To churn this passion into a profession, the Academy has designed a baking course, for those who want to become professional Pastry Chefs in 5 Star Hotels or want to launch their own Patisserie or Boulangerie. This course, meant for amateur bakers, provide the basic training for baking, which can then be harnessed into advanced techniques and cuisines. Egg is a mandate in most of our recipes, as we emulate French Cuisines mainly. All our courses are globally recognized and certified by City& Guilds, London. Gone are the days, when one had to move to a different country, for learning the art of pastry baking.

There is no need to spend a huge amount of money for pursuing your passion for baking in a foreign institute, just because of a lack of similar opportunities in India. Academy of Pastry Arts has come up with a full-time as well as a part time course, to equip all the students with the art of pastry baking in their nearby vicinity. At the Academy, students will get an experience in preparing a varied range of bakery items, ranging from basic breads to custom pastries and cakes.

Internship

In the current scheme of career, internships play an integral role in moulding the budding chef to a thorough professional, under a disciplined set up. While the environment in the academy is very controlled and the students have access to the best of everything, the scenario in the hotels and restaurant is different. There is a pressure of volume, cost, performance, etc. which a student should know how to handle before she/ he works with a star hotel or opens her own bakery/ restaurant. We strongly recommend minimum three months of internship with leading restaurants, bakeries and 5 star hotels and to facilitate that, we have a tie up with some of the best brands for internship. Most of these internships are not paid but rich in experience with some of the hotels being Oberoi, Taj, ITC and bakeries like La Folie in Mumbai, Theos in Delhi, etc.

Support After Course

We support the students even after they have completed the course- from solving a problem with any of their recipe or discussion for R&D of a new recipe or help in designing the menu for their own restaurant or patisserie. Students who passed out a few years ago are still connected to us via various platforms.


Special Rate for Master Classes

We encourage students to upgrade their skills on a regular basis by attending the Master Classes by World Champions, Master Chocolatiers, MOFs, Master Bakers, etc. who come to the academy to conduct classes. All our students are eligible for a special discount for such classes.


Support for the Competition

Competitions are a part of the growing process and take place both at national and international level in this particular field. For the students to gain optimum experience, we encourage them to participate in these competitions, with the Academy's support.

Industrial Visit

Accomodation
The Academy has a centrally-connected setting in all three city centres and have an exclusive tie up for separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. These are safe, clean, hygienic, cost-effective and are located close to the academy. In fact, the girl's hostel has been personally checked by our female staff. A room on double sharing basis generally costs between 10k to 12k per month, including meals. The cost of electricity is separate and on actuals. FAQs

All our chef faculty has worked with 5-star hotels like Oberoi, Taj, Novotel, ITC, etc. They all are now working with the academy full time. These chefs have attended numerous Master Classes with World Champions, MOFs, and other Master Chefs and have won various national and international competitions.

We would recommend you Advance Diploma program which is of 1 year. It includes 9 months hands-on training in India center followed by 3 to 6 months of internship. The course is very intense and each student gets enough practice hours. You can choose either our culinary course or pastry/ bakery course. Students who study Pastry also get to study in our Malaysia Academy for 1 month after the course is over. This course costs Rs 200,000 to others is offered absolutely free of cost for our Advance Diploma Students in Pastry.

We follow French cuisines and eggs are used in most of our recipes. Chicken is used in very limited recipes and the students are free to learn/ prepare only the vegetarian options.

After finishing 6 months, one can decide to take 3 months advance diploma. However, if you take admission in 9 months Advance Diploma straight away, you get a cash discount of Rs 50,000 in your total fees.

We have 4 intakes in a year, starts every 6 weeks. The details about the next intake are available on our website and various social media channels.

A student should be minimum 16 years of age and have basic knowledge of English. There is no maximum age limit.

All students have to compulsory attended 6 months Diploma before attending Advance Diploma. The standard of our Diploma course is very high and the student will not be able to cope up if she/ he goes to Advance Diploma straightway.
